Erica’s Top Diva Highlights of 2018

Well, what a year 2018 has been for myself and everyone at Diva Telecom! It’s hard to believe how much has happened in just one year and so it’s no wonder I’m feeling more than a little proud of my team.Let’s take a look back at 2018 while I share with you my personal Diva highlights…

Highlight #1: The New Office Move

Moving to a new office with enough growing room was something I’d had in mind for quite some time but, as we all know, timing is everything. Then 2018 happened and provided us with the perfect opportunity – and the perfect property – to make the big move a reality… the time had come.

After a huge refurbishment operation, my team and I were able to move in during September. We’re now nicely settled in Bramley Grange in Thorner, Leeds, looking at all our extra space – ready for 2019 growth.

Highlight #2: Becoming Finalists of Two More Awards

After winning 2017’s Digital Challenge Award, we didn’t expect to be up for not one, but two more at Comms Dealer Sales & Marketing Awards, which took place in May, 2018.

Getting shortlisted in March was one thing, but to become finalists of both Reseller Best Marketing Campaign and Best PR Campaign on the night was quite another! The night focused on celebrating the achievements of B2B sales and marketing teams in the telecoms sector and the campaigns they mastermind.

Therefore, becoming finalists was not just a success for Diva Telecom, but for my entire team.

Highlight #3: Welcoming 100 New Gigabit CustomersWe’ve now helped over 100 companies get better connectivity with CityFibre across Leeds and Yorkshire. How many other B2B businesses will we transform in 2019? We can’t wait to find out!I’d like to take the opportunity to say thank you and welcome to our new International Numbers customers too, from all around the world. It’s also great to see so many businesses adopt Cloud Telephony and embracing our new Diva Mobile service. Who will join us next?

Highlight #4: The Launch of Diva MobileEarlier in the year we expanded our product portfolio by welcoming mobile expert Darren Mitchell into the fold and launching Diva Mobile, our new business mobile service – learn more here.

Since Darren joined the team and launch in March, 2018, we’ve already had an amazing uptake. The feedback we’ve received from customers enjoying the one-bill package has been great, and we hope to help plenty more customers stay relevant and conduct business more efficiently throughout 2019 and beyond.

Highlight #5: Celebrating Team Achievements & Milestones

Diva wouldn’t be Diva without the team and we always make a special effort to celebrate big achievements internally – as families do. This year was no exception!

Some of my favourites include:

·        Raising £512 for Dogs Trust Leeds – the team worked so hard and pulled out all the stops so I couldn’t be prouder of them for really getting behind such a great cause.

·        Andrew Myers’ 10-year Diva-versary – he’s been with me since the early years and his commitment to Diva has never once faltered. Thank you, Andrew!

·        Jess Hoyle completing her Business Admin Apprenticeship – we’re so proud of her for graduating and being such a hard working member of the family.


What a year! I hope your 2018 was just as good.
