Leeds colour run

Diva Telecom Complete The Leeds Colour Run

Last weekend, the Diva team limbered up to take part in the Leeds Colour Run at Pool Riverside Park, raising money for St. Gemma’s Hospice. The team endured a tough 4k whilst being bombarded with powdered paint at the various colour station checkpoints throughout the run.

Diva Telecom were keen to support a local charity for their inaugural charity event and settled with Leeds based St. Gemma’s Hospice to help fund the invaluable specialist medical services the hospice offer families dealing with life threatening illness.

The target for St. Gemma’s was to raise £32,000 through their 1,000 registered Colour Run participants and to date the Diva team have collected £320 in sponsorship. The total amount raised by the team will help fund several daily costs that will help the charity operate for free, including the £24,000 per day it costs to run the service, £470 per day to care for one In-Patient in one of their wards, and the £50 for a child bereavement session for a child who is dealing with a parent or loved ones death or illness.

As a whole, the team who took part, and everybody else at the event, had a great day with many other fun activities taking place (including a Pimm’s tent) and it was a fantastic opportunity to raise money to help a brilliant charity.

It’s not too late to donate, so if you missed out on the opportunity to sponsor the team then please head to and give a little money for a great cause.
